I THINK I DID SOMETHING BAD…. like attend 3 Taylor Swift shows in 2 weeks. I was lucky enough to be able to go to three shows with some of my best friends. Each show was so different and so unforgettable. Here are some pictures I took and what I wore each night!
Spontaneous Louisville Adventure
So like two weeks ago, I made a very impromptu decision to fly to Kentucky for a weekend. Why you ask? Because one of my best friends had an extra ticket to see Taylor Swift, and what kind of friend would I be if I let her go alone?! I legit bought my plane ticket 6 days before the concert and didn’t get any sleep that Friday night because 1. I have a hard time saying no to friends who want to go out and 2. because I had to be at the airport at 4am to catch my flight. I spent a total of 36 hours in the wonderful state of Kentucky (never thought I’d ever say that) but we packed so much into a short time and it had to be one of my favorite weekends ever.
My Grad Party
You probably saw my post about graduation, but whats the point of getting that little diploma without a little party? My twin brother Chris just graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with an aerospace engineering degree and I just graduated from Salisbury University with a Communication Arts degree, so my parents threw us a party! It was a great time filled with friends, family, cake, pasta and an open bar. I want to thank my parents for putting it all together and all my friends who stopped by! Here are a bunch of pictures and more details about what I wore!
My First Cruise!
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I went on a post-graduation, pre-working-for-the-rest-of-my-life cruise with my best friend Taylor. You know Taylor from this blog. This was the first time either of us have been on a cruise and it was such a cool adventure! We were on the Carnival Conquest. We got mega sunburned on the first day, took so many naps, got a bunch of drinks and had the absolute best food the entire time. We spent 5 days on the ship total and went to Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman. I’m so happy I was able to do this right before I started my full time job and work up a nice tan. It wasn’t always smooth sailing, but it was definitely an adventure! Here is a giant photo diary of my trip!
Vintage Striped Skirt
I actually shot these pictures a few weeks before graduation but didn’t have time to edit them until like three days ago. Theres this bayside beach calling Roaring Point that is 30 minutes away from my school and my roommate, Allison, is obsessed with going there. We started this weird tradition of eating Chinese takeout here and watching the sunset. I thought it was the perfect backdrop for showcasing this new outfit I got from Abercrombie. And while these pictures turned out great, the truth is…we were literally attacked by soooo many bugs that day. I think they were some type of gnat but ugh I got bitten by so many of them. I am positive I had over 100 bites all over me. Sigh. Well at least the pictures turned out good.
With my cat eye sunglasses and long midi skirt, this outfit gives me major 50s vibes which is exactly what I was going. Lets step back in time for a moment and enjoy this beautiful sunset, shall we…
My Double Jaw Surgery Process Video
Hi everyone! This is my first time doing this for the blog but I made a video! Today is the one year anniversary of my double jaw surgery, so to celebrate and reflect back on it, I created this video. During the course of my surgery process, I would take short videos of each step that was happening as it happened, whether it was going to the ortho to get my braces tightened, going to meet with my surgeon, going to the hospital, leaving the hospital, documenting my all liquid diet and more! This video is pretty long but thats because I documented all of this for a over a year. If you’re interested in just getting to the part where I go into surgery, skip to 7:51. I took most of these videos on Snapchat so that is why its vertical (I know better so I’m kicking myself for that). It starts at my first braces appointment and ends on the day I got the braces off. Basically, this is a video of my hair getting longer and my face getting shorter. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry; its the feel good jaw surgery video of the year.
Enjoy!xx
I Graduated!
I DID IT! Yesterday I graduated from Salisbury University with a Bachelor Arts degree in Communication Arts (Cum Laude!!!). I majored in public relations and double minored in marketing management and photography. After college I’m going to be the digital content and marketing coordinator for the organization I’ve been interning for these past two years. This also means I’m moving back home with mom and dad! Today my parents, brothers and I moved all of my stuff out of my house in Salisbury and then drove 2+ hours with a Uhaul. That was a long and exhausting day.
My head is literally spinning. My friends and I were trying to cherish and celebrate every moment. I get emotional thinking that college is actually over and I won’t see my friends all the time anymore . These four years have flown and have literally been the best years of my life. I think I’m in denial.
Here are a few of my graduation pictures. Some pictures my childhood bestie Kayla took (because she’s an angel) and the others I edited and my roommate Allison took (because I taught her well and she has a heart of gold). Outfit details are at the bottom!
Letter to my Freshman Year Self
I’ll be honest for a moment: I am currently on the verge of an emotional break down. Now it could be combination of finals stress and moving out stress and work stress, but deep down I know its solely because I only have a few more days left of college.
I am in awe of how quickly the last four years have gone by. It feels like yesterday that my mom, dad and little brother moved me into my freshman dorm; but it also feels like another lifetime ago.
When my mom dropped me off at school, I cried. I didn’t want to go to college, especially such at a small school. I was so scared. But now as I’m looking back on the last few years, I feel like bawling just because college has been better than I ever imagined and I can’t believe its almost over. I don’t know what I’m going to do when I can’t see my friends everyday or live in this little town that I’ve grown to love.
If I could go back in time to the day I started college, I would tell my 18 year old self so much about the next year years. And I would do the same for my 19 year old self, my 20 year old self and even my 21 year old self. Every single year I learned so much about life and myself.
So to all the versions of my past self, but especially to the scared little freshman who just got dropped off by mom and dad: this one is for you.
My First Half Marathon (How I Trained & Prepared)

I am so proud to announce that last weekend, I ran my first half marathon! If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’ve been training for the last 10 weeks. I’m still in disbelief that I was able to push my body this far to actually run 13.1 miles, especially since 6 months ago I could barely run a 5K. Now I want to emphasize that I was not super fast and I feel I could have done a little better, but I’m really proud of myself for actually finishing. I definitely want to run another half marathon and I hope I keep up with my running during the summer. If you’re like me and you did not/do not think you can run 13.1 miles, this post is for you.
Best Graduation Shoes from DSW
I’ll be honest for a second…I totally forgot I made this post! For a little while there, I was really busy with school, grad photos, and work so I completely forgot to post a bunch of blogs that were saved in my drafts. My life pretty much revolves around graduation these days and I just took my first round of graduation pictures of myself (which are a surprise), and a bunch of my friends. I have my dress all set but I’m in the market for some new shoes. So if you’re like me and have yet to find a great pair of grad shoes, this post is for you!
Personally, I like the ankle-strap look and I tried to pick shoes with more of a block heel because the last thing you want when you’re walking across the stage at graduation is to trip and fall.
I divided these shoes up but color: nude, pop of color, black and white. I found all of these on DSW so I know all of these will be great quality and you can definitely snag a coupon code. This is not sponsored or anything, I just thought DSW had great selection. Even if you don’t like any of these that I’ve picked out, I’m sure you can find a great pair of shoes on their website!
When you click on a pair in the picture, it will take you to a PDF and then you just click the picture again and BOOM you’re on the website. Sorry for the extra step in there, I’m not very tech savvy.
