I love dressing up for New Years Eve. I think its one of the best times where you can really go crazy and wear something daring and fun. Plus, when else is it acceptable to wear a ton of sequins?  Even though NYE only a few days away, I have been working on this style guide all of Winter Break and wanted to post it in case you’re like me and still have no idea what to wear.

Most of these are on sale and are going fast! If you plan on ordering any of these dresses for New Years, make sure you get 2 day shipping! New Years Eve is just around the corner! I seriously love dressing up for this holiday because of all the glitz and glamour. This year, my friends and I are going all out and I can’t wait (but its also a secret of what everyone is wearing). A few years ago, I got this sequin midi skirt  from Lulu’s to wear to a NYE party. Fit and Flare Ivory Coat

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! This has to be one of my favorite days of the year, probably right behind Christmas Day. I’m currently getting ready to go to church with my family where we will all usher the first Christmas Eve service of the night. I love when they dim the lights in the church, we light the candles and sing “Silent Night”. I can’t wait! Then my family will come home, eat dinner and drink eggnog (even though I hate eggnog).

This ivory coat I’m featuring on the blog today will also look great with my Christmas Eve dress that I’m wearing tonight. I took these pictures back when I was at school and Allison and I stumbled upon this adorable Christmas Tree sale downtown. This coat gives me serious Olivia Pope vibes-to the point where I almost named this blog post “It’s handled”. It’s on sale now at Nordstrom!

Teddy Bear Sweater

I am about to share with you the best thing that has ever happened to me: this sweater. Okay I am acting a little dramatic, but I seriously love this sweater that I got on Black Friday from American Eagle. I asked for it in every color for Christmas. I wore it the other day when I was in Bethany Beach, DE watching the sunrise with my friends, Allison and Ashley. It’s so big and warm, which was honestly ideal because the beach in December is chilly. This particular morning was pretty mild and for that I am grateful. This has to be the most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen-and I promise I’m not being dramatic when I say that.

New Face, Who Dis?

Fun fact: I love showing people side by side comparisons of my face pre and post op. Everyone’s reactions are always hilarious and they always say something like “You look so good now!…not that you looked bad before…but wow!” Unless you’re my little brother who tells me I was ugly then and am still ugly now. He keeps me humble.

The left picture was taken in December 2015, after my first consultation for the surgery, but before the braces. The second picture was taken in November 2017, the day my braces came off. I’m laughing at the fact that I’m wearing the same J.Crew vest because that was definitely not on purpose.

I wanted to make this post about the recent identity crisis I’ve been having since I had my double jaw surgery. My friends and family will ask me all the time if I get freaked out when I look in the mirror or if I miss the way my face used to look. And the answer is yes…but also no.

Deliriums: My Acting Debut

This semester has been incredibly busy and crazy for me. One of the main reasons for this was being in my first student film. It is called “Deliriums” and it was for a Moving Making class that I’m not actually in. I auditioned for it and surprisingly got one of the main roles! I wanted to be a part of this movie because I used to do theatre in high school and really missed acting and playing a role different from myself. The picture above is from the premiere a few days ago where I watched the movie for the first time. It was so weird seeing the scenes that I did over and over and over again all come together in the final product. I’ll admit I was a little shy when I was on scene because I can be pretty critical of myself. Overall, I am so happy I was a part of this movie and I wanted to share that on my blog!

Christmas Tree Farm

A few weeks ago, the Eastern Shore got hit with a snow storm that made finals seem even more unbearable, because I just wanted to play in the snow and get ready for Christmas! I have one final left this week that I’m still working on, but that seems to be the only thing standing in my way between me and Winter Break. While I’m writing this, I’m trying to finishing my PR project and watching Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer in a random classroom on campus. But even with this final project, I wanted to share pictures from when my roommates, Allison and Jaelin, and I went to a Christmas tree farm with Allison’s family to cut down her family tree. We drove about an hour away in the snow, but the roads weren’t too bad and it was a beautiful winter wonderland.

Best Christmas Eve Service Dresses

Being raised in a Christian household, Christmas Eve service has always been a big deal to my family and myself. My parents raised me to always dress very proper and eloquent when going to church.  Even now when my mom can’t tell me “don’t wear this” or “you can’t wear that”, I still stick to wearing appropriate and formal clothing when going to church. Modest clothing doesn’t have to be boring! Now that I’m older and my entire family helps with ushering at the Christmas Eve service, I always want to wear something special for my church’s Christmas Eve Service. But I don’t always want to break the bank by doing so. Past Travels: London, Winter 2017

Last January I was lucky enough to study abroad with two of my best friends for none other than a photography class. This was, without a doubt, the most amazing trip of my entire life. I went to London, Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam in just 3 weeks. I am probably going to separate each of those places into its own blog post, so today is all about London. I spent most of my time there and I feel like I truly made the most of it. The point of the trip was to learn about digital photography, so we had several photo assignments that we had to document, edit and turn in at the end of the trip; no wonder I have so many photos to share! My apologies if you find this post to be extremely long. I tried to keep only the best and most important pictures. Sad part is, this is really only the highlight reel. I saw and did a lot while I was over there, but not everything needs to be photographed. Hope you enjoy my photos!

What I Love Most About Christmas

It’s hard to believe that Christmas is quickly approaching, especially when I am drowning in school work. I still have to get through a group project, final presentation, final exam and a bunch more assignments before I can focus on all the wonderful things I’m about to talk about in this post.
