How lucky am I that I get to travel to far away places to visit my friends? I’m currently in Tuscaloosa, Alabama visiting one of my best friends from high school, Kalen. I came to Tuscaloosa about two years ago during my sophomore year winter break, but never for a game. We’re playing Ole Miss this weekend and it is going to be soooo unbelievably fun (keep an eye out for another blog post about game day). I love Alabama’s campus and everyone in the south is really polite. I have been trying to find people who know where my school is, and so far the only people who know are the other travels who made it down for the game. I’ll take it! I may go to a small D3 school in the Northeast, but for the next few days I’m part of the Crimson Tide. Roll Tide Roll.

Feelin’ 22

“I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling twenty-twooooo…” You better believe that song was on repeat for the last 72 hours.

This is a life update/photo diary post about my 22nd birthday party I had over the weekend. I’m big on themes so I decorated my living room with all of these galaxy decorations and string lights. I also asked everyone to wear all black or dress for the theme and everyone did! My little brother drove up for the night from College Park. If you don’t know which one he is, he’s the one killing it in the mint romphim. I also bought a ton of Polaroid film and even brought out my DSLR for a few pictures at the start of the night. I’m kind of obsessed with documenting my life through photos, but if you’re on this blog…you probably already knew that. My roommate made me a beautiful galaxy cake, which is pretty much the reason for the theme. I wish I had gotten a picture of it.

My friends and family are totally awesome and made my birthday so special. Theres nothing that great about turning 22, except for the fact that its my “Taylor Swift Birthday”. For anyone reading this who wished me a happy birthday or sent me a present, thank you and I love you a lot. Please enjoy these pictures of a wild night and my first as an old and wise 22-year-old… you know, because I learned all the lessons I needed to learn when I was 21 *wink wink*.

3 Month Recovery for Double Jaw Surgery

This is another blog post for anyone who is curious about what my recovery was like over the summer.   I hope anyone who is getting double jaw surgery can read this and know what to expect.

No lie, my recovery was not fun and it was not easy. This post is in no way meant to scare anyone from getting this surgery. I am so happy with my face now, that all the discomfort and pain I felt during recovery was worth it. But this is an honest recap of the recovery process that I had to brace myself for months in advance. My doctors told me what to expect long before I even had a surgery date, but I still wasn’t prepared for a lot of things, like the lack of feeling in my face and the long-term swelling.

I didn’t post any pictures of my face right after my surgery, and when you look at these pictures, you’ll probably understand why. I didn’t really post my face on social media during the summer because the swelling was so bad, so here is a glimpse of what I looked like for the past 3 months. Keep an eye out  for a vlog coming soon of the entire braces-surgery-recovery process.

Weekend at JMU

This weekend I drove down to visit my freshman year roommate and one of my best friends, Julia, who goes to James Madison University now! She just turned 21 and I was so happy to go visit the school that she loves, meet her friends and celebrate her being twenty-fun! While the weather was rainy and chilly (literally, it felt like Fall and I am not ready), I think JMU’s campus is gorgeous and their food services are the best I’ve ever had at a college! I wanted to share some pictures I took and the outfits I wore while we celebrated. This was such an amazingly-fun weekend, I seriously can’t wait to go back!

Look What You Made Me Post

*Fangirl Alert*

OMG I CANNOT CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT OVER TAYLOR SWIFT RELEASING A NEW ALBUM THIS FALL! I have looked up to Taylor since I was 14 and have been obsessed with everything she does ever since. It has always been a big deal for me when she drops a new album, but because of her hiatus I didn’t think we were going to get anything anytime soon. I’m pretty sure I’m in shock right now that she’s releasing new music because this is my literal favorite time of the year. It’s been way to long and I have missed her so much. My little brother and I listened to her new single last night the second it came out and we were SHOOK. So of course I wanted to talk about it on my blog. If you get to know one thing about me, it’s that I can get pretty crazy over Taylor Swift, so I apologize in advance if it’s too much for you (but I’m not actually sorry).  No one has seen this side of me since 2014, and that was when I was entering my freshman year of college. HOW HAS IT BEEN THAT LONG? I am about to start my senior year now. I am overjoyed for everything TSwift has to come, I could cry.
