Get it? Marvel at it? But this post is about marble so I changed the first word. Get it? Anyway…happy hump day! I want to talk about one of my biggest obsessions right now; marble. I love how polished and simple the print is. I love running my hand against anything that is or looks like marble because it is so smooth and soft. I think marble is very minimalist but also oozes luxury and class. Marble comes in all different kinds of colors but I prefer white marble (even though it gets dirtier easier). I hope one day I’ll own a house with marble countertops, but until then, I’ll settle for carrying around marble on my phone case. Below I’ve listed some marble items I own and some on my wishlist. Feel free to marble at them (okay I’ll stop now).
Brace Yourself
I am actually really excited to write this post. Anyone who has been friends with me for over a year knows that my braces are my biggest insecurity. I dreaded having braces since the moment I found out I had to get them and the self depreciating humor has not ended ever since. This is my second time with braces and today marks the one year anniversary to when I got them on again (wow-time flies). I’m hoping that by writing this post that I can help anyone else who has adult braces feel more confident and show that it’s not the end of the world (even though I like to pretend it is).
LBD at Sunset
Greetings from Bethany Beach! I’m currently writing this post in in the living room of the house my family rented this week, while we watch Law and Order: SVU. This house is pretty old school but I love how homey it feels and the character of it. I grew up coming to Bethany every other summer with my family and I loved getting to come back and show my best friend, Allison, this adorable little town. The other night we went to this bar called The Boathouse with my parents and twin brother. Right before we left Allison and I caught this beautiful Bayside sunset and I got to show off my new obsessions: this LBD, these sandals and this grand-spanking new compass necklace.
Stripes in Rehoboth Beach
Over the weekend I crashed my best friend, Allison’s, family vacation in Rehoboth Beach. It was great weekend because not only did we get to go out in Ocean City every night, but I was also able to visit my house in Salisbury and go to the beach for the first time this summer. While I wasn’t able to move anything into my house and I did get sunburned, this weekend was much needed. I caught up with some friends at school and had the best brunch ever at this place called Egg. Allison and I got mimosas and split Peanut Butter French Toast and Eggs Benedict with crab. It was probably the best brunch I’ve ever had (and should out to Allison for treating me). The town of Rehoboth is adorable. There were tons of hydrangeas everywhere and so many stores on Main Street. I had never been here before but I fell in love with the town of Rehoboth and I can’t wait to go back.
Thoughts on Food After an All Liquid Diet
I hope you read my other post about the details of my all liquid diet. I am currently learning how to chew again and chewing is becoming easier with each passing day. I’m even starting to get some feeling back in my face. 6 weeks really flew by, but my surgery also feels like it was a lifetime ago. Being restricted to only liquids for 6 weeks got me thinking about food in a different way. I also realized a lot of things about food and the customs that surround it. Here are a few thoughts I have on food now after experiencing an all-liquid diet:
No Flash Photography
Happy Friday! I felt like this week has been dragging along so slowly but now it’s pretty much the weekend and I am so excited to show you this post! Last weekend I went to the Baltimore Museum of Art with one of my best friends, Kayla. We have been friends since we were like 4 and she is a super talented photographer. You should totally check out her website (16:7 Photography). I’m giving her most of the photo creds for this post, except for the adorable candids I took of her admiring art. But this post is also really exciting for me because now after 6 weeks of kind of being off the radar, I’m actually showing my “new” face online now. I still have a little bit of swelling and little feeling in my lips, but I’m actually starting to feel confident about my new face now. It will still take a lot of getting used to but hi world! This is what I look like now.
J.Crew in Shepherdstown
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you’re excited for whatever this week has in store for you! Today’s post is from the 4th of July weekend when I went to West Virginia (you can read all about that post here). My aunt gave my mom and me a tour of her old college town- Shepherdstown. It really is an adorable town and I wore a new dress from J.Crew that I got from the Hagerstown Outlets (which you can read about in this post too).
Feeling Frilly Nilly
Hey y’all (I’m saying y’all because I took these pictures while in West Virginia)!

Kate Spade Haul
Today I wanted to share my recent Kate Spade purchases that I bought at the outlets over the weekend. Kate Spade is one of my absolute favorite brands. I literally have so much from this brand-purses, wallets, earrings, perfume, a watch and flip flops! Because it was 4th of July weekend, everything in the store was 70% off! I got all of this for a steal and I’m so excited for all of my new goodies. Hope you like my new finds as much as I do!
