I know what you’re thinking. The above image is not very ‘eclectic’ or ‘maximalist’. However! This is a picture of my apartment currently and those are the vibes I am striving for. I wanted to take the time to share some items I have stumbled upon online that I would love to get for my apartment.

What do you do when you have travel points that expire in April? You throw a dart and go wherever it lands! Maybe that is an exaggeration, considering I have always wanted to go to Rhode Island. My friend Ashley and I decided to take a very random weekend trip and it was delightful! We flew in Providence and stayed near the beaches of Westerly. While of course there were a few speed bumps along the way (BWI forgetting my luggage being the main thing) this was a lovely trip. Normally when I make a trip recap I will include everything I did and everywhere I went, but truth be told, all Ashley and I did was drink, ride our bikes and have some serious girl talk for 72 hours straight. It was the best. So here is a very unorganized photo dump.

The way that my shopping cart continues to grow every single day. I am cruising to do some MAJOR shopping for spring but I am trying to hold off because I keep having so many fun life experiences that take priority for my wallet. But that doesn’t mean I can’t make a giant wish list with affiliate links. This blog post is super messy and just has a ton of random thoughts about what I like about these clothes, but that is how my mind looks right now! Welcome to the madness!

I’m pretty sure the inside of the Greenbrier is what the inside of my imagination looks like. My mom and I drove 5 hours to Sulphur Springs, WV for a small girls weekend and for my mom’s birthday. The last girls trip we took together was to Charleston in 2019. It was such a delightful weekend! Here is a photo dump and a quick list of what we did. There is so much to do at the Greenbrier!

Happy Valentine’s Day ladies! I just had a lovely Galentine’s Day over the weekend and am going to see John Waters at Sound Stage tonight! So while a single girl like me can keep herself busy on the most romantic day of the year, my ideal V-Day would be spent with my favorite book boyfriends. In 2021, I really got into romance novels and I am so glad I did! I have literally so many recommendations, but here are 14 light-hearted romance novels with happy endings (and maybe a little spice).

Happy Almost Valentine’s Day. Truth be told- I am not a huge fan of this holiday, but I am the BIGGEST supporter in self love.
While Valentine’s Day is normally centered around romantic love, I am such a big advocate around the idea that that is not the only love worth celebrating. There are so many other types of love- the love you have for your friends, your pets, your family, yourself – that usually get kicked to the curb during the Valentine’s Day hype.
If you’re reading this and you don’t have a romantic partner for Valentine’s Day, I encourage you to spend your day focusing on the love you have for yourself. And if you keep reading, you’ll find I have a few items that can help you with that. *wink wink*

Let me start by saying I have never had an original idea in my entire life. I definitely got this idea while on Tiktok. I saw a lot of people are saying 2022 is going to be their ‘reputation’ year. And I love that concept, but I feel like I had my ‘reputation’ year back in 2017. And that was a very bitter and confusing time for me. I correspond that album with pettiness, revenge and finding love… and those are not on my to-do list this year. But to each their own! reputation is one of my favorite albums and absolutely slaps. But I saw another video of a girl saying she was going to have a ‘folklore’ year instead, and that really spoke to me. So I wanted to dive into that and spill some ink on the blog.

So truth be told, I am trying not to buy anything new until I clean out my closet. It’s part of my new years resolution to get rid of 52 items I no longer wear or that no longer fit. I have started the process but I have a long way to go. These are a lot of random items but boy are they pretty (or at least useful).

Maybe it is because I walk way more these days since I live in a city, but I have been obsessing over comfortable and trendy footwear. Never underestimate a good pair of sneakers. I just got new running shows that I am in love with, but I’m still thinking about buying more sneakers. This pair that I got for my China trip 3 years ago and I usually wear is falling apart. So it’s time for an upgrade!
