Lavender Maxi Dress

In the wake of my post vacation tan, I thought I would share these pictures I took with my cousin and little brother the other day during a beautiful Bethany Beach sunset. I have wanted a lavender dress similar to this for so long…probably since Taylor Swift released her “Begin Again” in like 2012 (I think). She wore this beautiful lavender gown on the rooftops of Paris and it literally looks like a daydream. So when I stumbled upon this dress on Hope’s website, I got so excited and bought it that same day. Here are some pictures of me spinning like a girl in a brand new dress.

Black and White Beach Outfit

I’m currently working on my tan at the beach with my family. Every other year we spend a week at Bethany Beach with my cousins and its always a loud, rowdy, good time. Even though my tan lines are super noticeable in this outfit, I low key love tan lines because they prove that I’m tanner than I was before. (Anyone else like this?) I surprisingly haven’t gotten burned yet, so I figured now was a good chance to show off this outfit. I love wearing high-waisted soft shorts because I have big thighs and a little tummy pouch. Soft shorts like this don’t squeeze too tight and they look super flattering (especially on the hips and tummy). I’m on vacation, so of course I want to be comfortable, show off my tan and look cute on the beach. I think this outfit pretty much sums it all up (tan lines and all)!

Playa Bowls in New Jersey

Last weekend I visited one of my best friends, Cori, in her hometown of Brick, New Jersey! I haven’t been to the Jersey Shore in like 4 years and it was so nice being back and seeing where she grew up. We had such a fun girls weekend with a bunch of my friends from college but in all honesty, parts of the weekend are a little blurry because we spent most of our time bar-hopping. But one of the first places Cori took all of us was Playa Bowl and it was absolutely incredible. I am so sad that we don’t have one near me in Maryland. Life Update:

Happy weekend! I am so relieved this week is over but I can’t believe its already August. I kinda feel like I‘m in a perpetual state of summer because I don’t have to go back to school at the end of the month. It will probably hit me more that I am no longer a student when September starts, lets just enjoy the time being. For now, its August and it’s been a while since I’ve done a life update. Shows I’m Currently Watching

I’ll be the first to admit I am a very passive TV watcher. I think its even a stretch to say that I even watch TV because whenever the TV is on I’m usually on my phone, on my computer, doing laundry, cleaning and basically doing anything besides watching the TV. I know it irks so many people but I prefer to look at it as “multitasking”. Even as I’m writing this now I have a show playing in the background that I keep having to rewind back to because I keep missing things. Oops. So technically I’m like halfway through a bunch of shows right now. I usually binge watch a show for a few days, get distracted then start a new show before finishing the other one. I just got an Amazon Firestick for the TV in my room so I have access to Amazon Prime Video, Hulu and Netflix. So while I am probably the worst TV watcher ever, this is what I’m watching.

Spontaneous Louisville Adventure

So like two weeks ago, I made a very impromptu decision to fly to Kentucky for a weekend. Why you ask? Because one of my best friends had an extra ticket to see Taylor Swift, and what kind of friend would I be if I let her go alone?! I legit bought my plane ticket 6 days before the concert and didn’t get any sleep that Friday night because 1. I have a hard time saying no to friends who want to go out and 2. because I had to be at the airport at 4am to catch my flight. I spent a total of 36 hours in the wonderful state of Kentucky (never thought I’d ever say that) but we packed so much into a short time and it had to be one of my favorite weekends ever.

My Grad Party

You probably saw my post about graduation, but whats the point of getting that little diploma without a little party? My twin brother Chris just graduated from the University of Maryland College Park with an aerospace engineering degree and I just graduated from Salisbury University with a Communication Arts degree, so my parents threw us a party! It was a great time filled with friends, family, cake, pasta and an open bar. I want to thank my parents for putting it all together and all my friends who stopped by! My First Cruise!

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I went on a post-graduation, pre-working-for-the-rest-of-my-life cruise with my best friend Taylor. You know Taylor from this blog. This was the first time either of us have been on a cruise and it was such a cool adventure! We were on the Carnival Conquest. We got mega sunburned on the first day, took so many naps, got a bunch of drinks and had the absolute best food the entire time. We spent 5 days on the ship total and went to Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman. I’m so happy I was able to do this right before I started my full time job and work up a nice tan. It wasn’t always smooth sailing, but it was definitely an adventure! Here is a giant photo diary of my trip!

Vintage Striped Skirt

I actually shot these pictures a few weeks before graduation but didn’t have time to edit them until like three days ago. Theres this bayside beach calling Roaring Point that is 30 minutes away from my school and my roommate, Allison, is obsessed with going there. We started this weird tradition of eating Chinese takeout here and watching the sunset. I thought it was the perfect backdrop for showcasing this new outfit I got from Abercrombie. And while these pictures turned out great, the truth is…we were literally attacked by soooo many bugs that day. I think they were some type of gnat but ugh I got bitten by so many of them. I am positive I had over 100 bites all over me. Sigh. Well at least the pictures turned out good.

With my cat eye sunglasses and long midi skirt, this outfit gives me major 50s vibes which is exactly what I was going. Lets step back in time for a moment and enjoy this beautiful sunset, shall we…
