Striped Vici Dress

Does this dress make my sunburn look bad? I sure hope not. This past weekend I took a short trip to Clearwater, Florida to get some much needed rest and sunshine…but I may have overdone it on the sunshine. Best Spring Shoes

If you see me trying to buy more shoes anytime soon, stop me! Lately I have been purchasing so many different shoes whether they’re for running, work or just casual outings. My life has turned into that ancient Youtube video that goes “shoes. oh my gosh shoes”. Do you know the one? Plot twist: its just me in that video. How To Take The Best Graduation Photos

It’s graduation season, which also means that it is graduation PHOTO season. I think I took over 10,000 photos (collectively) of people at my school last year. Graduation photos are a great way to countdown to being done with school, celebrating your college journey and looking forward to what is next in your life. After spending probably too much of my last semester of college following people around with my camera, getting glitter and champagne all over myself and my camera, and making enough money to pay for an entire post-graduation cruise, I wanted to share my top tips for taking the best graduation photos, as well as a bunch of photos I’m really proud of/really like. I hope everyone I took pictures of is cool with the fact I’m using them in this post. I think you all look fabulous!

Going Out Outfit: Black Peplum Top

A few weeks ago I was in DC (shocker) for happy hour at the Wharf. You may not see it in these photos, but I was so cold. It was freezing! But the show must go on and golden hour is the absolutely best time to take pictures. Up next in my “going out outfit” series is this shirt that I have had my eye on for years! It’s from Lulu’s and between you and me, it makes my boobs look really good it’s a super flattering top! I’ve always loved sheer/mesh panels on shirts so that is another reason I love this shirt. Fun fact: I got this jacket in high school for like $13! Ever since it’s my go-to going out jacket because it basically goes with everything and makes me look edgier than I am. Pink Striped Shirt

Ever go to DC the weekend before the cherry blossoms show up? Just me? Cool. At least my shirt looks like it belongs among the cherry blossoms. I’m kicking myself for not going a weekend later to be able to see them in full bloom, but I did see a few pink trees when I went a few weeks ago. Eating for a Half-Marathon

It’s officially April and I’m 4 weeks out from my second half marathon. I think I’m going to do another month of “no fun” just to make sure I’m fueling my body for those 13.1 miles and all the training leading up to it. This past weekend I ran a very slow 8 miles outside because it was beautiful out. I wish I had done a little better on speed, but my training isn’t perfect and I still have time to improve! Lately I’ve been focusing on making sure I am eating properly for training, because last year I definitely was not. I would literally eat like a salad 6 hours before a 10 mile run and then I would wonder “Why am I so tired?” or “Why couldn’t I run as far?” Ugh. I definitely learned my lesson. Diet is one of the most important aspects of training! My biggest thing: Carbs are your friends!

Shows I’m Currently Watching: Vo. 2

Welcome to Vo. 2 of “What I’m Currently Watching”. If you read the first post, you’ll know I am a super passive TV watcher and I never pay attention to whatever is on. White Haute Dresses

GASP! White before Memorial Day? FORBIDDEN! Unless you’re graduating or are getting married or just don’t give a flying fa-doodle. Last year I posted this graduation dress guide to help myself and my friend’s find some white graduation dresses. Since then I’ve noticed that post getting a lot of hits on Pinterest, so I wanted to give a more current/accurate dress guide. And the fun part is that now I can’t even call this just a ‘graduation dress’ guide because I have friends who are getting married this year (!!!) and hey, they need white dresses too. (And I’m not talking the OG white dress, if you catch my drift). The dress I’m wearing above was my graduation dress from last year and I absolutely loved it. Going Out Outfit: Distressed Jeans

HEY NOW HEY NOW-OW. This is what jeansssss are made of- HEY HEY! I hope you like that bad joke/segway into introducing this outfit. Check out my first pair of distressed jeans. (Yeah, first pair…idk why). I’m absolutely obsessed with them (even if adults make the comment of “you got a rip in your jeans” joke).
